NSRAP Fundraiser Gala

On Saturday, September 15, Lucas, Jenn, and I had the opportunity to attend the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project's Annual Fundraiser Gala at the Harbourfront Marriott Hotel thanks to a donation of three tickets from law firm Merrick Jamieson Sterns Washington Mahody.

The night featured both a silent and live auction and was hosted by local comedian Candy Palmater. Dalhousie grad student, Samantha Loppie, was the keynote speaker. She spoke about her sociological research and about her own experiences as a bisexual woman of mixed racial ancestry.

It was great to be able to take part in such an important event in the Halifax community.

Alexa McDonough (MP-Halifax), Lisa, Jenn & LucasBy chance, we happened to sit next to the Member of Parliament for Halifax, Alexa McDonough.
